This project involves expanding the Netaji Subash Chandra Bose Institute of Oncology from a 25-bed to a 100-bed facility, equipped with modern cancer detection and treatment amenities for economically weaker patients. Initially approved for three years starting in the financial year 2006-2007, the project is now extended for an additional three years, covering the financial years 2009-2010 to 2011-2012, with an unchanged approved cost of Rs. 86.68 crore.
