of <h1>Government Approves Special Economic Zone for Leather Manufacturing; Spans 250 Acres; Includes Inland Container Depot Designation</h1> The Central Government has approved the establishment of a sector-specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for the manufacture of leather and leather products by a private organization at Villages Konduru, Kadaluru, and Akkampeta in Mandal-Tada, District Nellore, Andhra Pradesh. The SEZ spans 250 acres and was approved for development, operation, and maintenance as of July 30, 2008. An Approval Committee, consisting of various government officials and a representative from the developing company, has been constituted to oversee the SEZ. The SEZ is designated as an Inland Container Depot effective May 4, 2009.
