of <h1>Government Forms Approval Committee for IT-Focused SEZ with Key Representatives and Stakeholders</h1> The Central Government has established an Approval Committee for a sector-specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ) focused on information technology and IT-enabled services at Uttarpara, Kolkata, West Bengal. This SEZ is being developed by a private entity. The committee includes various ex-officio members: the Development Commissioner of the SEZ as Chairperson, representatives from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Joint Director General of Foreign Trade, Commissioners of Customs, Central Excise, and Income Tax, a Director from the Ministry of Finance, two officers nominated by the West Bengal Government, and a representative from the developer company as a special invitee.
