of <h1>Government Forms Approval Committee for Pharma SEZ in Medak Under Special Economic Zones Act, 2005</h1> The Central Government has established an Approval Committee for a sector-specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ) dedicated to the pharmaceuticals sector at Villages Lingampally and Melasangam, Mandal Munipally, District Medak, Andhra Pradesh. This initiative, dated April 24, 2009, is under the authority of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. The SEZ will be developed by Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Limited. The committee includes various ex-officio members such as the Development Commissioner, representatives from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Joint Director General of Foreign Trade, and others from relevant government departments.
