This project provides free clothing, education, shelter, and a family environment to destitute, orphaned, and abandoned children. Initially notified in 1994, the project has been periodically extended, with the latest extension covering financial years 2009-2010 to 2011-2012. The approved cost remains at Rs. 100 crore. The National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare has confirmed the project's proper execution and recommended its continuation.
