This appointment is made under Section 11 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. The appointed Director will oversee the SEZ located in Village Ulwe, Taluka Panvel, District Raigad, Maharashtra, covering an area of 10.77 hectares, focused on Information Technology and related services. The Director must follow instructions from the Central Government, Department of Commerce, and the Board of Approval, and report periodically on their activities. Personal matters will be managed by the Department of Information Technology or the Software Technology Park of India.
