Inspector-cum-Facilitator of Mines appointments define zonal and regional jurisdiction for mine inspection and administration. Specified officers of the Directorate General of Mines Safety are appointed as Inspector-cum-Facilitator of Mines under section 34 of the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020, with effect from publication of the notification and until further orders. The notification supersedes earlier appointments, subject to things done or omitted before supersession. It also assigns detailed territorial jurisdiction across headquarters, zones and mine regions, covering specified States, Union territories and districts for mines administration and inspection.
