Registering officer jurisdiction under the occupational safety code is allocated region-wise for central government establishments across India. Registering officers are appointed under section 3 of the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020 for establishments where the Central Government is the appropriate Government. The notification supersedes earlier central notifications and assigns Regional Labour Commissioners (Central) and Assistant Labour Commissioners (Central) in specified regions as Registering Officers for the territorial jurisdictions listed in the schedule, including all-India jurisdiction for the office in New Delhi and state-wise or district-wise jurisdiction for other regional offices.
