Equal remuneration authorities appointed with territorial jurisdiction fixed region-wise across States and Union territories Appointment of officers not below the rank of Labour Officer as authorities under section 7(1) of the Equal Remuneration Act, 1976, with territorial jurisdiction fixed for each officer in the Schedule. The notification supersedes the earlier appointment notification, subject to things done or omitted to be done before such supersession. The Schedule allocates jurisdiction region-wise across the States and Union territories, including all-India jurisdiction for the Chief Labour Commissioner (Central) office and specified districts or States for other Central labour authorities.
