Appellate authorities under the Code on Wages are regionally designated for appeals against wage order determinations. Appointment of appellate authorities under sub-section (1) of section 49 of the Code on Wages, 2019 for appeals against orders passed under sub-section (2) of section 45 where the Central Government is the appropriate Government. The notification supersedes the earlier 2019 notification, subject to things done or omitted before supersession, and assigns territorial appellate jurisdiction to the Deputy Chief Labour Commissioners (Central) in specified regions across India.
