Cost of living allowance computation authority designated for wage-code establishments across India under government directions. The Central Government appoints the Director General, Labour Bureau as the authority for computation of the cost of living allowance and the cash value of concessions in respect of supplies of essential commodities at concession rate in establishments governed by the Code on Wages, 2019, where the Central Government is the appropriate Government. The appointment applies throughout India and operates at intervals and in accordance with directions specified by the Central Government.
