Special Economic Zone notification sets up an approval committee and deems the notified area an inland container depot. The Central Government notifies 66.166 hectares of land at Plot No. 255 and 238 (part-2), Dholera Village, as a Special Economic Zone for electronic hardware and software, including IT/ITES, and constitutes an Approval Committee for the zone. The notification further appoints 9th April, 2026 as the date from which the Special Economic Zone is deemed to be an Inland Container Depot under the Customs Act, 1962.
