of <h1>Income-tax Department Recruitment Rules Amended; Retroactive from 2004, No Adverse Impact on Individuals Confirmed by Memorandum.</h1> The Income-tax Department Administrative Officers (Group 'A' and 'B' Posts) Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2009, have been enacted by the President under Article 309 of the Constitution. These amendments update the 2004 recruitment rules, renaming them as the 2005 rules and applying them retroactively from December 30, 2004. An explanatory memorandum confirms that this retrospective application will not adversely affect any individuals. The amendments will take effect upon their publication in the Official Gazette.
