of <h1>Baggage Rules amendment replaces references to the 2016 rules with the 2026 rules in an existing Customs notification, effective 2 Feb 2026</h1> Amends Notification No. 26/2016-Customs by substituting every reference to 'Baggage Rules, 2016' with 'Baggage Rules, 2026,' thereby aligning the earlier customs exemption notification with the new baggage regime; the amendment takes effect on 2 February 2026. The change is effected under powers of the Central Government exercisable under the Customs Act and operates solely to update the statutory cross-reference in the principal notification. No other substantive provisions of the principal notification are altered by this amendment.
