of <h1>Fixation of tariff values for edible oils, brass scrap, areca nut, gold and silver; updated tables effective 28 January 2026</h1> Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) amends the existing non-tariff notification by substituting TABLE-1, TABLE-2 and TABLE-3 to fix tariff values for specified edible oils, brass scrap, areca nut, gold and silver; each entry states the revised US dollar tariff value per metric tonne, per kilogram, or per 10 grams as applicable. The amendment clarifies scope for certain forms of gold and silver and retains stated values as unchanged where noted. The notification takes effect from 28 January 2026, thereby governing import valuation for the enumerated goods from that date.
