Income-tax Appellate Tribunal: rules add Vice-President appointments, Rs.250 special pay for members and reservation saving. The amendment defines 'Vice President,' authorises the Central Government to appoint one or more Members as Vice President(s) to assist the President, and provides that every Member appointed as a Vice President shall receive an additional monthly special pay of Rs. 250 in addition to his member pay. It also includes a saving clause preserving reservation and concessions for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and other categories as directed by the Central Government; the rules take effect on publication in the Gazette.
