Issue and Listing of Non-Convertible Securities now defines retail individual investor and permits targeted incentives to specified investor classes.
SEBI amends the Issue and Listing of Non-Convertible Securities Regulations to insert a definition of 'retail individual investor' as an individual applying or bidding for debt securities up to two lakhs; this defines investor eligibility. The amendment further permits issuers to offer incentives, including additional interest or issue price discounts, to specified categories such as senior citizens, women, defence personnel and retail individual investors, with such incentives available only to the initial allottee and not to securities transferred or transmitted post-allotment.
