of <h1>Fixation of tariff values for edible oils, brass scrap, areca nut, gold and silver, prescribing new import benchmarks.</h1> Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs substitutes TABLE-1, TABLE-2 and TABLE-3 of the principal notification to fix specific tariff values for listed goods. For edible oils and brass scrap the notification prescribes stated US$ per metric tonne values, thereby establishing customs valuation benchmarks for imports of those items. For gold and silver the notification sets per unit US$ tariff values for specified forms, thereby fixing import valuation bases for preferential entry claims and other treatment. For areca nut the notified tariff value is affirmed as unchanged, thereby maintaining the existing valuation benchmark. The amendments take effect from 16 January 2026.
