of <h1>Him Jyoti School Project Eligibility Extended u/s 35AC; Budget Increased to Rs. 16.40 Crore for 2009-2012.</h1> The Central Government has extended the eligibility of the 'Him Jyoti School' project by The Himalayan School Society in Dehradun under Section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961. Initially notified for three years starting from the financial year 2006-2007, the project is now extended for an additional three years from 2009-2010 to 2011-2012. The project cost has been amended from Rs. 4 crore to Rs. 16.40 crore, including a corpus fund of Rs. 12.40 crore, following recommendations from the National Committee for the Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare.
