of <h1>Government imposes anti-dumping duties on woven flax-rich fabric (tariff 5309), varied per country, effective five years</h1> The government has imposed anti-dumping duties on imports of woven fabric with over 50% flax content (tariff heading 5309) originating in or exported from specified foreign countries following a review that found increased import volumes, continued dumping, price undercutting and injury to domestic industry despite earlier duties. Duties are set per meter in US dollars (higher for imports involving one country, lower for the other) and supersede the 2020 notification. The duties apply for five years from Gazette publication and are payable in Indian currency at the notified exchange rate.
