        <h1>Transhipment route coverage under Electronic Cargo Tracking System clarified, specifying ports and rail-road corridors for Nepal-bound cargo.</h1> The amendment substitutes regulation 3 to restrict the Electronic Cargo Tracking System's application to transhipment of cargo from Kolkata, Haldia and Vishakhapatnam, specifying permitted routes: rail to Birgunj; rail to Batnaha with road to Biratnagar; rail to Biratnagar; and rail to Indian Customs Yard Jogbani with road to Biratnagar. The regulation takes effect upon publication in the Official Gazette and is issued under powers granted by the Customs Act.
