of <h1>Central government revises UTGST rate to 9% for specified petroleum and coal bed methane supplies, effective 22 September 2025</h1> The central government amends the Union Territory Goods and Services Tax (Rate) notification of 28 June 2017 to revise the UTGST rate in the TABLE at Serial No. 1, replacing the entry in column (4) with '9%'. The amendment, made on the recommendations of the Council under the UTGST Act, applies to specified supplies related to petroleum or coal bed methane operations and takes effect from 22 September 2025.
