<h1>Government adds Sl. Nos. 24-41 to Notification No. 19/2019-Customs exempting defence imports from customs duty, effective 22 Sept 2025</h1> The government amends Notification No. 19/2019-Customs to add items exempt from customs duty when imported into India by the Ministry of Defence or the defence forces, inserting Sl. Nos. 24-41. Newly exempted goods include flight and target motion simulators and parts; HACFS parts; low-noise amplifiers; IAWDS components; specified military transport aircraft; deep submergence rescue vessels; unmanned underwater vehicles; ejection seats; high-performance batteries for drones; software-defined radios; diving and air-diving systems; sonobuoys; ship-launched missiles and rockets over 100 mm; military RPAs; various parts, spares and test equipment (with specified exclusions); and related technical documentation. The amendment takes effect 22 September 2025.
