of <h1>Central Government notifies 2.70 hectares Special Economic Zone for IT/ITES operations at Nava Raipur under SEZ Act 2005</h1> The Central Government has notified a 2.70 hectares area at Nava Raipur, Atal Nagar, Chhattisgarh as a Special Economic Zone for IT/ITES operations. The notification follows approval granted to a private limited company for development, operation and maintenance of the SEZ under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. The designated area comprises ten survey numbers with varying hectare allocations. An Approval Committee has been constituted with eight members including the Development Commissioner as Chairperson, representatives from various government departments including Commerce, Foreign Trade, Customs, Income Tax, Banking, and two state government nominees. The zone developer serves as special invitee. The SEZ is deemed an Inland Container Depot under the Customs Act, 1962, effective from July 9, 2025.
