of <h1>Central Government rescinds iron ore fines exemption under Customs Act Section 25(1), effective immediately, with specific exceptions.</h1> Notification No. 131/2008-Cus, dated December 7, 2008, issued by the Central Government under section 25(1) of the Customs Act, 1962, rescinds Notification No. 116/2008, dated October 31, 2008. The earlier notification exempted iron ore fines under Heading No. 11 of the Second Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975. This rescission is effective immediately, except for actions already completed or omitted under the previous notification.
