of <h1>Customs Act Update: New Tariff Values for Crude Palm Oil, Brass Scrap, Gold, Silver, and Areca Nuts Effective Dec 2024.</h1> The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs has amended the tariff values for certain goods under the Customs Act, 1962, effective December 14, 2024. The updated tariff values are as follows: Crude Palm Oil at $1158 per metric tonne, RBD Palm Oil at $1171, and Brass Scrap at $5343. Gold is valued at $864 per 10 grams, while Silver is at $1036 per kilogram. Areca Nuts are set at $6448 per metric tonne. These changes are detailed in Notification No. 85/2024-Customs (N.T.) and replace previous tables in the 2001 notification.
