of <h1>India Sets New Exchange Rates for Import/Export: Notification No. 130/2008-Customs Effective December 1, 2008</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance's Central Board of Excise and Customs, issued Notification No. 130/2008-Customs (N.T.) on November 25, 2008. This notification, effective December 1, 2008, supersedes the previous Notification No. 115/2008-Customs (N.T.) and establishes the exchange rates for converting specified foreign currencies into Indian rupees for imported and exported goods. The rates are detailed in two schedules: Schedule I lists rates for individual units of various currencies, while Schedule II provides rates for 100 units of the Japanese Yen.
