of <h1>Director Appointed as Development Commissioner for IT SEZ in Gujarat Under Special Economic Zones Act, 2005</h1> The Central Government has appointed the Director of Software Technology Parks of India, Gandhinagar, as the Development Commissioner for a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Gujarat, as per the powers granted under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. The SEZ is developed by Larsen and Toubro Limited, located in Village Ankhol and Bapod, Vadodara, covering 10 hectares for IT and IT-enabled services. The appointed Director must follow instructions from the Central Government, Department of Commerce, and the Board of Approval on SEZs, and submit periodic reports. Personal matters will be managed by the Department of Information Technology.
