of <h1>Finance Ministry Raises Special Additional Excise Duty on Diesel Exports to Rs. 1.50/Litre, Effective Feb 16, 2024.</h1> The Ministry of Finance has issued Notification No. 07/2024-Central Excise, amending Notification No. 04/2022-Central Excise to increase the Special Additional Excise Duty on diesel exports. Effective from February 16, 2024, the duty specified in the notification's table will be revised to Rs. 1.50 per litre. This amendment is made under the authority of the Central Excise Act, 1944, and the Finance Act, 2002, in the interest of the public. The original notification was published on June 30, 2022, and last amended on January 1, 2024.
