of <h1>New Customs Exchange Rates Notification Effective 20th October 2023 Under Customs Act, 1962 Section Rules</h1> The government has issued a notification superseding the previous exchange rate notification dated 5th October 2023, effective from 20th October 2023, determining the rates of exchange for various foreign currencies against the Indian rupee for customs purposes under the Customs Act, 1962. The notification specifies separate exchange rates for imported and exported goods for multiple currencies, including the US Dollar, Euro, Pound Sterling, and others, as detailed in two attached schedules. This supersession applies except for actions taken before the effective date. The notification was later superseded by another dated 2nd November 2023, effective from 3rd November 2023.
