of <h1>Uttar Pradesh GST Amendments: New Items Added to Schedules I, II, III with Updated Tax Rates Effective July 2023.</h1> The Governor of Uttar Pradesh has issued amendments to Notification No. KA.NI.-2-836/XI-9(47)/17-U.P. Act-1-2017, dated June 30, 2017, under the Uttar Pradesh Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. Effective from July 27, 2023, these amendments include the addition of new items such as un-fried or un-cooked snack pellets, fish soluble paste, Linz-Donawitz (LD) slag, and imitation zari thread to Schedule I at a 2.5% tax rate. Changes to Schedule II include the substitution of metallised yarn descriptions, and Schedule III now includes un-fried snack pellets and specific slag descriptions under a 9% tax rate.
