“Account Aggregator” notified as the systems with which information may be shared by the common portal based on consent u/s 158A of CGST Act, 2017 - 33/2023 - Central GST (CGST)

Central Govt. Approves 'Account Aggregator' Systems for Data Sharing Under GST Act Section 158A Effective October 1, 2023.

The Central Government, following the Council's recommendations, has designated 'Account Aggregator' systems for information sharing via the common portal based on consent under Section 158A of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. This notification, issued by the Ministry of Finance's Department of Revenue, will take effect on October 1, 2023. An 'Account Aggregator' is defined as a non-financial banking company operating under the Reserve Bank of India's policy directions, as specified in the Non-Banking Financial Company - Account Aggregator (Reserve Bank) Directions, 2016.
