of <h1>Government Raises LPG Import Duty to 15% Effective July 1, 2023 u/s 8A of Customs Tariff Act.</h1> The Central Government has decided to increase the import duty on Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) as specified under tariff items 2711 19 10, 2711 19 20, and 2711 19 90 in the First Schedule of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975. The import duty rate will be amended to 15%. This change is enacted under the powers granted by section 8A of the Customs Tariff Act and will be effective from July 1, 2023, as per Notification No. 40/2023 issued by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue.
