<h1>Central Government Reduces SIPCOT SEZ in Tamil Nadu by 20.36 Hectares for Domestic Tariff Area Use.</h1> The Central Government has de-notified 20.36 hectares from the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) at SIPCOT Industrial Area, Sriperumbudur Taluk, Kancheepuram District, Tamil Nadu, reducing the SEZ area to 77.425 hectares. This decision follows a proposal by the State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu Limited and approval by the State Government and the Development Commissioner. The de-notified land will be used under the Domestic Tariff Area format by a government undertaking. The Board of Approval has stipulated that the SEZ's contiguity must be maintained through the construction of a Foot Over Bridge by the Container Corporation of India Ltd.
