of <h1>Finance Ministry Amends Courier Import/Export Rules: Regulation 2 Changes Include Higher Monetary Threshold, Effective April 1, 2023.</h1> The Ministry of Finance, through the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs, issued Notification No. 23/2023-Customs (N.T.) to amend the Courier Imports and Exports (Electronic Declaration and Processing) Regulations, 2010. Effective from April 1, 2023, the amendment involves changes in regulation 2, sub-regulation (2). Specifically, it deletes a proviso in clause (b) and replaces the punctuation. Additionally, in clause (c), sub-clause (ii), the monetary threshold is increased from 'five lakh' to 'ten lakh.' This amendment follows the principal notification No. 36/2010-Customs (N.T.) and its subsequent amendments.
