New Customs Tariff Values Set for Oils, Brass, Gold, and Silver; Areca Nuts Unchanged. Effective March 16, 2023.

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs has issued Notification No. 14/2023-Customs (N.T.) dated 15th March 2023, amending the tariff values for various commodities under the Customs Act, 1962. The revised tariff values are specified for crude palm oil, RBD palm oil, crude palmolein, RBD palmolein, crude soybean oil, and brass scrap, among others. Gold and silver tariffs are also detailed, with specific values per 10 grams and per kilogram, respectively. The tariff for areca nuts remains unchanged. These amendments take effect from 16th March 2023.
