The amendments, effective upon publication in the Official Gazette, include changes to regulation 5. Specifically, clause (g) in sub-regulation (2) is modified, and a new clause (ga) is added to allow for rewards to informants providing original information aiding in the recovery of funds under specific sections of the SEBI Act, the Securities Contracts (Regulation) Act, and the Depositories Act. Additionally, sub-regulation (3) is revised to permit fund utilization for rewarding such informants.
