of <h1>Mega Power Project Certification Deadline Extended to 156 Months; Security Validity Now 162 Months Under Customs Notification /2017.</h1> The notification amends Notification No. 50/2017-Customs, extending the time frame for submitting the final Mega Power Project certificate from 120 months to 156 months. It also extends the validity period for security in the form of a Fixed Deposit Receipt or Bank Guarantee from 126 months to 162 months for provisional mega power projects. This amendment is issued by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, under the powers conferred by the Customs Act, 1962, and the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, in the interest of public necessity.
