of <h1>Faceless Appeal Scheme 2021: Income-tax Authorities Authorized for E-Appeal Proceedings u/ss 246A, 248 in India.</h1> The Central Board of Direct Taxes, under the Ministry of Finance, has issued Notification No. 141/2021, effective from December 29, 2021, authorizing specific Income-tax authorities to conduct e-appeal proceedings as part of the Faceless Appeal Scheme 2021. This notification supersedes the previous notification No. 81 of 2020. It designates various Commissioners of Income-tax (Appeals) across multiple locations in India, including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and others, to manage appeals under sections 246A or 248 of the Income-tax Act, 1961. The notification facilitates the seamless processing of pending and new appeals.
