of <h1>Central Government Authorizes Reporting Entity for Aadhaar Authentication Under PMLA, 2002; Complies with Privacy Standards.</h1> The Central Government, under the Prevention of Money-laundering Act, 2002, has authorized a reporting entity to perform Aadhaar authentication services. The entity, anonymized here, has been deemed compliant with privacy and security standards as per the Aadhaar Act, 2016. This decision was made following consultations with the Unique Identification Authority of India and the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority. The notification was issued by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, on September 22, 2021.
