of <h1>Central Govt Declares 4.60-Hectare Area in Bangalore as IT/ITES SEZ; Inland Container Depot Status Effective April 2021.</h1> The Central Government has notified a 4.60-hectare area in Doddanakundi Village, Bangalore, Karnataka, as a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for IT/ITES, proposed by a private developer. The notification, dated April 22, 2021, follows the approval granted on March 31, 2021, under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. An Approval Committee has been constituted, comprising officials from various government departments, to oversee the SEZ's operations. Additionally, the SEZ is designated as an Inland Container Depot effective from April 22, 2021, under the Customs Act, 1962.
