<h1>India Revises Tariff Values for Oils, Metals, and More Under Customs Act, 1962; Affects Import Duties on Key Goods.</h1> The Government of India, through the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs, has issued Notification No. 109/2020-CUSTOMS (N.T.) dated 27th November 2020, revising tariff values for various goods. The updated tariff values are specified for crude palm oil, RBD palm oil, crude palmolein, RBD palmolein, crude soybean oil, brass scrap, poppy seeds, gold, silver, and areca nuts. These changes are made under the authority of the Customs Act, 1962, and replace previous tables in the notification dated 3rd August 2001. The notification aims to standardize import duties on these commodities.
