Initially approved for two years starting from the 1995-96 assessment year, the project received extensions for three additional years. Due to its ongoing nature and successful execution, the National Committee recommended a further one-year extension, covering the 2000-2001 assessment year, with an estimated cost of INR 2.82 crores.
