The amendments involve changes in the table of the original notification, specifically substituting the entry in column (4) against Sl. Nos. 1 and 2 with 'Rs. 18 per litre.' This amendment, enacted under the powers conferred by the Finance Act, 2018 and the Central Excise Act, 1944, is deemed necessary in the public interest and will take effect from May 6, 2020.
