<h1>India Amends Tariff Values for Oils, Metals, and Nuts Under Customs Act 1962, Effective April 30, 2020.</h1> The Government of India, through the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs, has issued Notification No. 40/2020-CUSTOMS (N.T.) dated April 30, 2020, to amend the tariff values of various commodities under the Customs Act, 1962. The revised tariff values include crude palm oil at $605 per metric tonne, RBD palm oil at $630, crude soya bean oil at $656, brass scrap at $3023, poppy seeds at $3623, gold at $548 per 10 grams, silver at $489 per kilogram, and areca nuts at $3752 per metric tonne. These changes are made to the notification originally published on August 3, 2001.
