of <h1>Central Government Notifies 7.67-Hectare SEZ for IT Services in Tamil Nadu's SIPCOT IT Park, Siruseri.</h1> The Central Government has notified a 7.67-hectare area within SIPCOT IT Park in Siruseri, Tamil Nadu, as a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for Information Technology and IT Enabled Services. The SEZ, proposed by a major consultancy firm, has received approval under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. An Approval Committee has been constituted to oversee the SEZ, comprising various government officials and a representative from the developer. The SEZ is designated as an Inland Container Depot effective from March 26, 2020, under the Customs Act, 1962.
