of <h1>Central Govt Approves 16.35-Hectare Agro-Based SEZ in Tripura; Operational from Dec 16, 2019, as Inland Container Depot.</h1> The Central Government has notified a 16.35-hectare area in Paschim Jalefa, Sabroom, South Tripura District, as a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for Agro-Based Food Processing, proposed by Tripura Industrial Development Corporation Ltd. This decision follows the fulfillment of requirements under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. An Approval Committee has been constituted, comprising various government officials and representatives, to oversee the SEZ's development, operation, and maintenance. The SEZ is recognized as an Inland Container Depot effective December 16, 2019, under the Customs Act, 1962.
