of <h1>Central Government Rescinds Notifications for Thane SEZ, Fully De-notifying Remaining 13.92 Hectares with State Support.</h1> The Government has rescinded previous notifications regarding the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) set up by a private company in Thane, Maharashtra. Initially notified in 2008, the SEZ's area was gradually reduced through de-notifications in 2017 and 2018. The company has now proposed to completely de-notify the remaining 13.92 hectares, with the Maharashtra State Government and the SEEPZ Development Commissioner supporting this proposal. Consequently, the Central Government has officially rescinded the notifications, effective immediately, while preserving actions taken prior to this rescission.
