of <h1>Government Extends Gujarat Eye Care Project as Blindness-Free Zone, Section 35AC, with Rs. 21.93 Crore Funding.</h1> The Central Government has extended the notification for the 'Quality Eye Care Centre with Blindness Free Zone in Rural Tribal Area' project, managed by an ophthalmic trust in Gujarat, under Section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961. Initially approved for three years ending in the 2013-14 financial year, the project is now extended for an additional three years, covering 2014-15 to 2016-17, with a total cost of Rs. 21.93 crore. No tax certificates will be issued for the financial year 2014-15 as it has already ended.
