Initially notified in 2001, the project has undergone several extensions, with the estimated cost increased to Rs. 71.18 crore in 2013. The National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare recommended the extension, confirming the project's proper execution. The extension covers the financial years 2015-16, 2016-17, and 2017-18.
